Identifying the Driving Impact Factors on Water Yield Service in Mountainous Areas of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region in China

Clarifying the interrelationship between climate and land use/land cover (LULC) changes on water yield in mountainous areas is very urgent due to dramatic decrease availability of areas. In this study, InVEST model was used calculate area Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region (BTH) from 1980 2020, six scenarios were designed identify contribution rates LULC change yield. The results showed that, 1980–2020, BTH largest 1990, at 377.95 mm smallest 1980, 150.49 mm. After 2000, interannual a slightly increasing trend, which significantly lower than values ranging 217.01 324.65 During study period, spatial distribution similar over years, with high south-central Taihang Mountain (THM) northeastern Yanshan (YSM). THM main BTH. annual farmland highest, followed by forest grassland, while proportion volumetric an trend 2020 grassland decreasing that increased first 2000 decreased 2020. Climate key factor controlling 1980–2000, period 2000–2020, effect negative, positive 1980–2000 1980–2020. rate increases THM, Bashang (BSR) YSM those three regions impact negative also greatly reduced. long term, revegetation will gradually benefit BTH, including BSR, YSM.
